Student Forestation Trip – Orientation
Japan Malaysia Association is leading an overseas forestation trip in Borneo this summer. Participants are two students from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Tsukuba University who passed the prior screening and joined the one-day orientation on 16 July to study the forestation effort by JMA, background information and history of Malaysia, as well as other issues.
Two students will depart for Borneo on 8 August to visit the forest reserve that JMA is actively engaged in and a local school/village to interact with the local community.
The trip is sponsored by Kinoshita Group, one of our main partners who has been working to restore the forest in Sarawak since April 2007.
