Certificate of Appreciation at International Day of Forests

The Sarawak Forest Department held its state-level commemorative event for the International Day of Forests 2024 on Sunday, June 9, at Sabal Forest Reserve. At the invitation of the Department, Sarawak Coordinator Kazue Sakai and Advisor Hamsawi Sani attended the event on behalf of the Japan Malaysia Association (JMA).

The day’s program included a commemorative tree-planting ceremony, and JMA was recognized as one of the organizations contributing to forest restoration in Sarawak. Together with local companies and environmental groups, the Association received a certificate of appreciation from the state government.
