On the evening of Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan hosted a reception in Tokyo to mark Malaysia’s National Day. The Japan Malaysia Association (JMA) was represented by Chairman Takakazu Ogawa and Director Takashi Moribayashi.

Among those in attendance were Shingo Miyamoto, Councilor of the South Asian Division, Bureau of Asian and Oceanian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA); Tsuyoshi Nagano, President of the Japan-Malaysia Economic Association (JAMECA); and a number of ambassadors and diplomats based in Tokyo. All gathered to extend their congratulations to H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan.
