The Japan Malaysia Association has been certified by the Decoration Bureau of the Cabinet Office as a recommending organization for the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon, effective October 2023.
As a result, individuals who donate 5 million yen or more, or corporations that donate 10 million yen or more, may, upon request, be recommended by the Association for the award of the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon.
The Association’s certification as a recommending organization for the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon can be confirmed on the Cabinet Office website’s list of certified organizations.
About the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon
The Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon was established in 1918 (Taisho 7) as part of Japan’s national system of honors to recognize individuals who have donated private funds for public benefit. Medals of Honor are decorations conferred by the Emperor of Japan, with the details governed by the Medals of Honor Ordinance (Grand Council of State Proclamation No. 63 of 1881).
