Internship Program Launched in Tourism
In cooperation with JTB, Japan Malaysia Association started the internship program this summer, providing an opportunity for students from Malaysia to have a working experience in Japan. For this year, we have 6 talented students from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) to intern in Rusutsu Resort, Hokkaido. The program will last 3 months.
This internship is intended for Malaysian students to have a hands-on experience with the Japanese hospitality business, and in turn for the Japanese tourism industry to make the first step in the Muslim-friendly hospitality services. We have an agreement with the hotel that female students from IIUM will work with their scarves on.
Rusutsu Resort is an all-season resort where tourists from all over the world gather to ski/snowboard in winter, while in summer the amusement park and golf courses offer entertainment in the best weather of the country. Its restaurant, Sekkatei, offers a halal meal, in addition to a broad range of food available in the resort.
